A Cozy Weaving Update: Bamboo Scarves & Exciting New Projects
Hello, lovely people!
I’ve been busy at my loom, and I’m so excited to share my latest finished pieces—two bamboo scarves that turned out even better than I imagined! They’re incredibly soft, drapey, and just melt like butter against the skin. The natural sheen of bamboo yarn adds a touch of elegance, making them both cozy and luxurious.
But as always, the creative journey never stops! I’m already planning my next projects, and I can’t wait to dive in. First up, I’ll be exploring a variation of Beiderwand, a weaving structure that absolutely fascinates me. It’s intricate, full of depth, and a beautiful challenge I’m eager to take on.
I’m also preparing to weave two ruanas/ponchos—just in time for the chilly season ahead! The obvious choice for winter? Alpaca yarn, of course. Its warmth and softness are unmatched, and I know these pieces will be stunning.
I can’t wait to share my progress with you all. Stay tuned for updates, and as always, thank you for supporting handmade craftsmanship!
Warmly,
Sade Sadie
